Legends of Tomorrow continues to be the best show in the Arrowverse. This episode brings back Matt Ryan's Constantine (who is rumored to be a show regular next season) and does a great job of mixing seriousness with humor. We discuss what works really well this episode and why this show handles its large cast so much better than other shows.

When Mallus' power over Sara resurfaces, she unwittingly becomes the bearer of one of the Totems. Rory must conquer his dark side in order to wield his own Totem power to help save the crew. Meanwhile, Agent Sharpe notices that something is wrong and recruits someone unorthodox to help.

Kriss & Dpalm review this week's episode of Agents of SHIELD, Principia. The last two episodes have made us want to go back and watch the previous seasons, particularly Season 3. We had to go back and remind ourselves just what happened with Werner von Strucker in that third season because he's been brought in Season 5. This is all adding fuel to the fire of our Franklin Hall (Graviton) theory. It also makes us wonder who else might show up. What if Daisy never gets her powers back but everyone just thinks she does? Could we get Eden? What is General Hale really up to and is she Leviathan? So many questions and we still have a lot of episodes to give us answers. Oh and Deke realizing Fitz & Simmons are his grandparents is hilarious.

The team goes in search of Gravitonium in order to save the world.

This week we learn that Freeland is basically what happens when the government doesn't get checked about the Tuskegee Experiments.  Jefferson and Gambi break up, Anissa trains and saves her father, and Jennifer's powers finally manifest in the lamest way imaginable.

Gambi tells a believable story, but we aren't sure if it is true or revisionist history.  Also, Latavius comes back and gives us the refresh to the series we needed with his conversations with LaWanda and the hilarious reactions of the people around him to those conversations.   We also discuss the DCEU's most recent announcement...although we don't hedge bets on how long that news will be accurate cause...well, it IS the DCEU (where are we with that Flash movie again?)

Kriss & Phenom review the movie adaptation of a video game, Tomb Raider. Before we get into the meat of the review of this movie, we discuss the current state of films based off video games and just how terrible they are. It's really really bad. Thankfully, Tomb Raider is a huge step in the right direction. Yes it's flawed and has issues. It takes way too long to get into actual Tomb Raider-type things but it's clearly an origin film that's trying to reintroduce the character of Lara Croft to the general audiences.

We also end with a discussion on why its important for film critics to take into account the audience of the film and why sometimes it's okay to not review a film. Also why discussions about films can give a better view of how good a film is versus just reading a quickly put together written review.

Two great episodes in a row for The Flash. It looks as if going into the final stretch, this show will be back on track. Before watching it, Run, Iris, Run, seemed like an episode that was going to be a step backwards and slow down the show. But instead, it was great all around. We get some much needed development of Iris’s character, we see why Ralph has regressed a bit and we even get some really great Harry & Cisco moments. This was a great episode that solidified Iris’s place on the team as not only team leader but as a support system for Barry.

Iris is given Barry's speed when the team fights a bus meta who has the ability to swap people's DNA.

On this week’s episode of Legends of Tomorrow, we find out yet another interesting fact about Mick: He’s keeping the rat that terrorized mini-Ray as a pet. Unfortunately Axl doesn’t survive showing that Legends of Tomorrow isn’t afraid to kill anyone…even a beloved pet rat we only recently found out about. But we at least got a makeshift rat funeral with a touching eulogy by Ray.

Oh and the Legends find out that Elvis is in possession of the Death totem and they have to stop him before he unwittingly turns Memphis into a ghost town.

This show is great.

It's here! The 100th episode of Marvel's Agents of SHIELD. We thought they would go super big with this episode but instead, it's a more narrow focus but still packs a huge emotional punch. We find out the truth about Coulson and why he's dying. It brings us full circle with his death, his resurrection and what he's become since then. Mike Peterson/Deathlok also makes his long awaited return right as Coulson is faced with his greatest fear: That he doesn't improve the lives of those he meets but dooms them.

Oh and Fitz & Simmons get married and Deke is their grandson. Yeah. That's the "oh yeah that also happened" part of this episode so that should tell you how good it is.

Coulson finally reveals the mysterious deal he made with Ghost Rider, which will impact everyone on the team.

This week on Arrow, Thea Queen dons the hood (and sword) again as Speedy and instantly everything is right in the world again. Willa Holland's Thea Queen is one of my favorite characters in the Arrowverse. She's grown so much and this episode, plus the return of Colton Haynes as Roy Harper really set up for what feels like a good bye for both characters. If that's the route being taken, then we're happy to see Thea go out as Speedy one last time.

This week felt like a step up from a lot of stumbles and we only have a few nitpicks. First, how did the Swat Team know Team Arrow was trying to rescue Roy? Also, while having Black Siren pretend to be this Earth's Laurel Lance is a good twist, we really need the writers to stop being so heavy handed and obvious that we shouldn't trust her. We get it. We didn't need that last scene with the text message.

Overall, this was a good episode and next week Nyssa returns so the hits just keep coming.

Roy Harper returns to Star City and Oliver and Thea take action to save him when they discover the reason why he's come back.

WHAT WAS THIS?

The most interesting part of this show this was the side characters.  We are growing weary with the portrayal of the Pierce family, but appreciate the draw between Lady Eve and Tobias-who both lost out in the end.  Gambi gets his Zack Snyder Murderverse on, but it works this episode.  We are curious as to which person in the writing room thought it was a good idea to replace the n-word with the word ninjas and we provide a PSA for our White fans-never ever use that word in that context.  Ever.  We love you and want you to stay safe.   The show seems to be in a bit of a CW DC dive, and we hope it can pull out before the end of the season.

There it is. There’s The Flash episode we’ve been waiting for all season. Enter Flashtime is proof that this show can be great when it wants to. This bottle episode hit all the notes. While it doesn’t focus on Devoe, there are subtle hints that it could tie to him. It addresses the new power we saw Barry use in the courtroom with Iris before the break and even gets a good explanation as to why he can’t just do it all the time. We get character development for Jesse & Harry. We get mention of another female speedster at some point. Even Killer Frost and Caitlyn get a bit of development. This episode had it all. It makes us wonder why this show can’t be like this all the time.

Anyway, we’ll just enjoy this moment and hope that the rest of the season is more like this.

Barry, Jessie Quick and Jay Garrick slow down time when a nuclear bomb detonates in downtown Central City.
