MTR Network

This show.

Make us think Ruby is the Destroyer of Worlds only to kill her (graphically). Since the agents have made it back to their time they've been running from one crisis to another and it's keeping us off guard for what really brings about the end of the world.

There's a lot to like in this episode:

  • Two bad ass Asian women taking on the role using reserved for men
  • The men dealing wtih their emotions by talking while the women deal with it by beating up bad guys
  • Coulson & Mack setting Deke up (lemons)
  • Daisy trying to connect with Ruby; Yo-Yo having none of it
  • Damn it...they're really making us care about Talbot
  • Fitz & Simmons are the first to finally get it: in order to break the cycle they could have just died...

The team must find a way to stop Ruby before the prophesied chain reaction that can destroy the earth is put into motion.

This week's episode of Arrow isn't a bad episode but the problem is, because of the weird way this season has been laid out, we just don't care. Look, this episode digs into what motivates and drives Diaz and in that context is good. We see why he's a good villain to go up again Oliver. The problem is, the Cayden James distraction from earlier in the season really burned up good real estate and took away from time to really care about Diaz. However, outside of that, there are good things to like about this episode and we break those down.

Looking to expand his empire, Diaz meets with a group The Quadrant, a coalition of mafia families; after Oliver's recent decision, Felicity and Curtis double their efforts to build Helix Dynamics.

Winn's mom comes to town in the wake of his father's death.

Mon El reveals that the third World Killer Pestilence evolves into Blight, who destroyed his future.

Papa J'onzz is still working to adapt to life on Earth while suffering from Martian Alzheimer's.

So here's the deal...the Toyman show was interesting...until it came out that the copycat was just the maintenance woman.  It would have been more interesting if it had been a lost family member like a daughter or a mistress.   I think this episode probably should have been moved elsewhere in the season-coming back off a near three month hiatus made this feel less lackluster for it's first run back.

This was a solid episode, but we are just worried that the CW chose this episode to come back off of hiatus for.  It is no fault of the show-they probably didn't realize when filming they needed to plan for a hiatus.  However, the network probably should have aired this one prior to the hiatus, and then brought us back with the World Killers episode we appear to be getting next week.
