Michael Meyers is back and so is Jamie Lee Curtis. David Gordon Green's Halloween film is a direct sequel to the original 1978 movie. And it does that film justice. And that's both good and bad. If you were hoping for some out of the box thinking and some smarter characters, you might be a little disappointed. But as a Halloween film, this film does exactly what you were expecting. It also includes one of the greatest black characters ever added to a horror film, Julian, played by Jibrail Nantambu. Despite our complaints, his character alone is enough to highly recommend seeing this film. Laurie Strode comes to her final confrontation with Michael Myers, the masked figure who has haunted her since she narrowly escaped his killing spree on Halloween night four decades ago.
